As a neurodivergent person, I find that human emotions do not land on a spectrum but often arrive as extremes. For example, happy can feel ecstatic, tired can feel completely exhausting, and anger can feel furious and overwhelming.
Emotional regulation is therefore an important topic, as intense feelings can make it difficult to pause, communicate clearly, or recover after a stressful moment. Having time, space, and supportive tools—such as quiet environments, routines, or trusted people to talk to—can make these emotions feel more manageable.
I know sometimes my body reactions dont responded to how I feel, eg crying for literal no reason and laughing about it.
It can be confusing when your emotions and physical reactions seem out of sync. Stress, exhaustion, hormonal changes, or holding in feelings for a long time can sometimes come out in unexpected ways. Giving yourself a little patience, getting enough rest, and talking to someone you trust may help you understand what your body is trying to communicate.
I know it's hard but try and read and understand your body. It knows what it needs even if someone says you don't need it. And its okay to have emotions, that's what makes us human.
